FAQ

Carpet Cleaning

1. What’s the fastest and most effective cleaning method?

Hot Water Extraction! Hot Water Extraction is the advanced and more powerful version of Steam Cleaning. Some companies still use the old steam cleaning machines, but the pressure (PSI) and vacuum pumps are way not enough for lifting the dirt from deep within your carpet to the surface. Other companies use dry extraction or dry encapsulating compound, but our experience shows some of the dirt and bacteria remains in the carpet. Thus we highly recommend Hot Water Extraction.

2. How long will it take to have my carpets cleaned?

Setting up our equipment usually takes around 15 min and then it roughly takes 20-40 minutes to have one room size (200-300 sqf) deeply steam cleaned. However, it might take up to 1 hour if the carpet is heavily soiled or hasn’t been cleaned for a while. Sometimes we need to pre-spray and steam clean a few times in order to make sure we get the maximum out of it. Good news is that we will do it as many times as need in order to ensure it’s done properly and all bacteria is gone.
Other factors that might prolong the process
– Moving furniture
– Lifting the machine if there’s no lift in the building

3. How do you actually clean my carpet?

The method used for cleaning your carpet is called Hot Water Extraction, commonly known as steam cleaning. 777CLEAN’s professional hot water extraction equipment removes some of the scariest and most stubborn stains. Hot water, mixed with alkaline solution are injected into the carpet. Then we will use a powerful machine to extract 90-95% of the whole dirt, moisture and allergens form the carpet. Finishing with a sanitizer and deodorizer is also a must and we will do that as part of the service.

4. Should I vacuum or move furniture before you start?

Don’t worry about it. We will move the light furniture like chairs and coffee table for you. And we will do the pre-vacuuming.

5. How long does it take for the carpet to dry out?

Our experience shows it takes between 2 and 4 hours in summer season and 3 to 5 hours in winter. But you could accelerate the process by leaving your windows open for 15-20 minutes or turning up heater/airconditioner on will definitely accelerate the process.
It also depends if the place is a basement or over ground floor apartment.

6. How often Should I have my carpets cleaned professionally?

Industry experts recommend cleaning your carpets every 6 months. That applies especially for homes with pets, or when there are people vulnerable to asthma or allergies. 777CLEAN Carpet Cleaning recommends cleaning minimum once a year in order to prevent allergens and germs reappearing and extending your carpet’s life.

7. Are there stains you cannot remove?

We could hardly guarantee results when the carpet has been treated with unprofessional chemicals that you could buy over the counter. Such detergents set the chemical into the fiver and it is almost impossible to remove the stains without damaging the carpet. This is exactly why we would highly recommend using a professional company. If the stain has not been treated with other chemicals we guarantee removing it.

8. What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

– Always confirm whether the price is final and no hidden fees would apply on site. Sadly majority of the companies quote an attractive price over the phone and then surcharge on site for: stain removal, bigger areas, deodorizer, pet hair, odor removal and etc.
– Always look for testimonials
– Always ask whether they vacuum the carpet before they start.

Rug Cleaning

1. What’s your method of cleaning?

The answer of this question depends on your rug. Majority of the rugs with a rubber or hard backing could be done with the standard Hot Water Extraction equipment. However if the backing is woven, then we are most probably talking about oriental or fine area rug. And for those delicate rugs, the risk of dye bleeding or pile damaging is significant. In those cases 777CLEAN’s PROs use dry hot carbonating extraction or dry encapsulating compound. Technician decides on site.

2. Should I take immediate actions if I spill something on my rug?

Stains happen. A glass of wine or cordial or a cup of coffee can mean disaster to the look of a rug and most times, any attempt to remove the mark yourself will add to the mess. Two suggestions – use a dry colourless towel and gently absorb the spillage to avoid the stain to reach the bottom of the pile. Then give the professionals a call asap. Any day counts.

3. How long will it it take you to get my rug done?

That depends on the rug whether we will use HWE™, Low Moisture™ or Dry Cleaning method. It usually takes 20-40 minutes to have one rug between 100 and 200 square feet done. However, it might take up to 1 hour if therug is heavily soiled or hasn’t been cleaned for a while. What else takes time:

– Moving furniture
– Lifting the machine if there’s no lift in the building

4. Should I vacuum or move furniture before you start?

Don’t worry about it. We will move the light furniture like chairs and coffee table for you. And we will do the pre-vacuuming.

5. How long does it take for the rug to get completely dry?

Our experience shows it takes between 2 and 4 hours in summer season and 3 to 5 hours in winter. But you could accelerate the process by leaving your windows open for 15-20 minutes or turning up heater/airconditioner on will definitely accelerate the process.
